Mama Reads to Encourage You This Week…
How was your week? We had a great week! Lots of fun moments, some mommy date memories, and a productive work week for me, too. I love weeks like that.
Have a busy week coming up? (I know, I know… what mama doesn’t?!) Need some encouragement or just something to read in your downtime? Here are my favorite “Mama Reads” for you…
My Favorite Mama Reads for the Week Ahead:
- Showing Your Child Support with Silence – I love this, because I’m such a fixer and a talker. I needed this reminder that sometimes it’s the silent moments that mean and help the most.
“When our child talks to us, we have the tendency to think, ‘My child has chosen to talk to me because they want advice.’ In reality, the majority of the time your child is not looking for a solution. They are talking to you because they trust you, love you and want to share some of their life with you.”
- 5 Activities to Turn Around a Crazy Day – We all have those days. And I love these simple ideas for getting a giggle and turning your day around. (Especially the sock war!)
“Whatever the reason you are stuck inside, these activities will help you break up the monotony and burn off some energy.”
- Just Keep Going – Some seasons are like this. Well, it feels like most seasons are like this. But what a good reminder to keep at it. And keep looking for the positive.
“I get up each day, take a breath, and hope for the best. I tick things off my list, I make another dinner, I fold another load of washing, I try and sort through another problem, and I try harder to find the good things among the difficult.”
- Why Parenting Means Practicing Grace – This is probably one of the most important lessons parenting has taught me.
“This is family: With all the apologizing and hugging and crying and forgiving — a place to practice giving and accepting grace.”
How do you find encouragement and inspiration during your busy days, Mama? Do these “Mama Reads” help? I’d love to hear your thoughts in the comments below!
