Mama Reads for Your Mama Time
I’m always coming across interesting and inspiring articles that I want to share with all of you. So I thought it was time to start; each Monday! Here are my favorite quick reads – for moms – that have inspired or encouraged me this week. (And if you have any interest or inspiring articles from your blog to share – scroll on down and add them to the link party below!)
Mama Reads that Have Moved ME This Week:
- The Truth Behind Mommy Magic – “Today I celebrate mothers because you make magic happen each and every day. Your stories may never be told and your sacrifices never acknowledged, but you change the world around you with your love.”
- Protecting Childhood – Such a great reminder: “Academics is starting earlier and earlier and parents feel like their children will be left behind. I want to say… They won’t. You are enough. You don’t need anything. Watch your children in their free time and it will be obvious, they are learning all the time. Please don’t doubt yourself. You are doing a great job.”
- One Important Thing to Do About Bad Behavior – “When children misbehave, or make a mistake, we are very quick to feel embarrassed, get angry, or jump to ‘teaching a lesson.’ What we often forget is to extend our children forgiveness.”
- The Pursuit of Health – I can totally relate to this: “Every few days, I would think I’d finally found the answer. ‘This is the missing link! All our problems will be solved!’ When each idea eventually crashed and burned, I would become MORE obsessed with finding the solution. I nearly lost my mind trying to figure out why.”
- What My Anxiety Taught Me About God – Love this line: “In its ugly depths, I am finding treasures of hope that I will one day lay before the throne in the presence of all His angels, because I will know something of suffering, and something of His love, that even angels do not.”
- When a Parent is Born – “Go ahead and mourn the loss of your former self. But try to focus on those positive additions. The adorable giggles, the first words, the messy kisses, the bright eyes. The new kind of LOVE that is making YOU a better person every day!”
