At this point, with my three kids now between the ages of seven and twelve, I feel like a Chuck E. Cheese birthday party pro. Sure, Chuck E. Cheese’s Birthday Party Packages make Chuck E. Cheese birthday parties easy and stress-free as it is. But over the years I have learned some simple tips and tricks to make your child’s Chuck E. Cheese party even easier – and more fun, too!
7 Tips for an Awesome Chuck E. Cheese Birthday Party
Here are my top Chuck E. Cheese’s tips and tricks for a super easy and super fun kid’s birthday party…
1. Reserve your Chuck E. Cheese Birthday Party Online
Nothing beats being able to set up the entire birthday party right on the Chuck E. Cheese’s website. Sure, you can call or stop in to reserve your party, too, but what busy mom wants to talk to someone anyway?
2. Skip the Paper Invites
Aren’t paper birthday party invitations such a waste anyway? They just get thrown away, right? Chuck E. Cheese’s offers customizable email birthday party invitations to make inviting party guests easy peasy.
3. Just Bring the Kids
The only thing you have to bring on the day of the party is the Birthday star. The party packages include everything you need, from tablecloths and food to goodie bags and balloons. You can opt to bring your cake, but it’s so much easier to just go with their delicious Chuck E. Cheese’s cake instead. And you can bring Birthday presents if you’d like, but I’ve found unwrapping gifts just takes away from the arcade game time that the kids love so much. So, leave the supplies to Chuck E. Cheese, and just bring the kids!
4. Become Friends with Your Host
When you arrive for your party, you’ll be greeted by your party host. He or she will show you to your reserved party spot, which is already set up and ready to go, and will go over the party timeline with you. Make friends with this person! It won’t be hard; every host/hostess we’ve had has been incredibly friendly and helpful. Don’t be afraid to ask questions, request adjustments to the party schedule, let them know about any special needs or circumstances, or even just have them take some group photos for you.
5. Consider Sensory Needs
Many young children struggle with sensory input, such as loud sounds, bright lights, and different textures. Check to see if your Chuck E. Cheese location participates in Sensory Sensitive Sundays, which offers a more sensory-friendly environment with dimmed lighting, lower music, fewer crowds, and limited appearances by Chuck E. If you can’t hold your party on a Sensory Sensitive Sunday, talk with your dedicated host about your child’s needs and how they can be accommodated. We’ve always found our hosts and Chuck E. to be very respectful of our kids’ preferences and aversions.
6. Go with All You Can Play
Chuck E. Cheese Birthday Party Packages offer a variety of Play Points and Play Pass options for fun in the arcade, but I highly recommend spending the little bit extra, if necessary, to get the kids’ All You Can Play games. With All You Can Play, party guests will get swipe cards to play all the games they want in a set timeframe of your choice. So easy – and FUN!
7. Pool the Tickets
In our family, mama is the official ticket collector. I ask our party host for a bag and then follow the kids around from game to game collecting everyone’s tickets in that bag. Then, we split the entire bag of tickets evenly between everyone. It’s an easy way to limit the upset and chaos at the prize area at the end of the party.
Now, hop on over to the convenient registration website to book your child’s Chuck E. Cheese birthday party today. The kids are sure to have a blast, and you will love letting Chuck E. Cheese’s do the party planning, set-up, and cleanup for you!
