Holiday Birthday? Chuck E. Cheese’s to the Rescue!
My poor J.C. – with a late December Birthday – comes last in a whirlwind of his siblings’ November and December Birthdays, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years. By the time his special day arrives, we’re all exhausted and partied-out. And our house, littered with Christmas toys, is in no shape for an at-home Birthday party. Enter Chuck E. Cheese’s!

J.C.’s No-Stress Chuck E. Cheese’s Birthday Party
This year, we were invited to have J.C.’s Birthday party at Chuck E. Cheese’s, and it was just what this tired mama needed. I was able to sit at my computer amidst our mid-December chaos and set up J.C.’s fourth Birthday party right on the Chuck E. Cheese’s website.
“From the invitations and decorations, to the food and drink – including the cake – once you sign up for the party online, we’ll handle all of the logistics so you and your family can just show up and enjoy!”
It’s nearly an hour’s drive to the closest Chuck E. Cheese’s, so we loaded up J.C.’s closest buddies in the minivan and headed on a Birthday roadtrip. We had plenty of room for kids since we didn’t have to take along ANYTHING. No need to worry about decorations, food or cake. Just bring kids ready to have FUN!
The cheerful Chuck E. Cheese’s staff greeted us as we arrived, stamped all of our hands to ensure no kids could leave without us, decked J.C. out in a fun Birthday boy superhero cape and glasses, and introduced us to our very own personal party host for the event.
Our host showed us our personal party space already set up with goodie bags for the kids and a fun Superhero cutout for photos. While the kids checked out their goodie bags, the host explained the party timeline and got the pizza and drink order started.
I can’t even express how awesome it was to just arrive with kids and have all of the food and drink taken care of for us. After we enjoyed our pizza (Psst… their new Thin + Crispy Pepperoni Pizza recently beat Pizza Hut in a national taste test!), Chuck E. himself came out to celebrate J.C.’s Birthday and cake with us. J.C.’s little friends loved dancing and getting photos with the big friendly mouse!
Before we headed for the arcade games, J.C. and I took a turn in the infamous Chuck E. Cheese’s Ticket Blaster. We giggled and grabbed tickets the entire time. My mom laughed so hard at me when I came out of that Ticket Blaster, blue hair everywhere, tickets falling out of my clothes. It was probably my favorite memory.
Then we finished off our Chuck E. Cheese’s fun with about an hour playing the games. The party package came with coins for each kid, so we were all set!
There were arcade games of all kids, and this Chuck E. Cheese’s even had a fun play set of tubes and tunnels the kids could crawl through. They had a blast.
And slept the entire ride home!
The best part – in my opinion: NO CLEANUP for this mama! Our personal party host took care of that, too.
So if you’re too busy or tired to plan a Birthday part at home or another venue, hop on over to Chuck E. Cheese’s website to book your child’s Birthday party online. The kids will have fun, and you will love how easy it is!
