An Upper and Lower Case Letter Match Superhero Style!
Last week Disney sent us their newest release in the Buddies series, the “epic tail” of Disney Super Buddies. Yep; those adorable pups are up to their crazy antics again, but this time superhero style! The kids love the Buddies movie and this one didn’t disappoint. It brought us lots of laughs for our family movie night and even some great discussion about what makes a REAL hero. And of course now the superhero fun abounds at our house. So I decided to tap into it for some alphabet learning with an upper and lower case letter match. Check it out…
Superhero Upper and Lower Case Letter Match Game
Priscilla’s been itching to learn to read lately, but she could still use some practice on her lower case letters. And when I saw this adorable superhero clipart from Clementine Digitals, I knew I could make a fun upper and lower case letter match for her to work on it.
I made fun superhero cards for each upper case letter and round superhero bursts for each lower case letter. Once I printed them (which YOU can do for free below!), I cut the bursts with a 2″ circle punch, the cards with a paper cutter, and laminated them all. They would be used for matching and sorting as is, but I used a glue gun to adhere each lower case letter burst to a colorful clothespin. The clothespins make for some great fine motor skill practice, too.
Thanks to Disney Super Buddies, I think superheroes will be a regular theme around here. And hopefully it will inspire a little learning, too! You can own the Disney Super Buddies DVD Combo Pack on August 27th, too. And make sure to follow the Buddies on Facebook and Pinterest.
