If you’re a long-time reader, you may remember when I shared my challenges in getting my kids to take proper care of their teeth.
I’ve tried everything – from making tooth brushing fun with music to using sticker reward charts. Yet at the dentist last week I hung my head when I heard my four-year-old has nine cavities. Yes… NINE.
The dentist was very sweet, assuring me my little guy’s teeth are so tight together cavities were probably inevitable. And I know it isn’t going to help for me to be looking back in guilt.
Instead, I need to look forward – with relief that we have dental insurance! And I need to move forward in prepping my J.C. for his upcoming big dentist visits.
Dental Coloring Pages to Help Kids with Dental Health!
I was shocked when I recently read on the Guardian Dental site:
“Poor oral health has been linked to conditions such as diabetes, heart disease, and stroke.”
If that doesn’t make you focus more on your kids’ dental health, I don’t know what will. Oh, wait… learning your child has NINE cavities will, too!
