My kids’ social life is busier than mine.  And trying to keep up with practices and meetings and play dates with friends gets pretty tricky.  Especially with 3 kids in school now who each have their own activities and friends.

And although I’m careful not to overbook them with activities outside the home, I definitely do want to keep up with play dates so they can develop close friendships.  Plus, I like the mama time I get with their friends’ moms while the kids play, too!

So I made a Kids’ Play Date Planner Printable to help me – and you! – keep a play date on the calendar even when the school year schedule gets crazy.

I included spaces on the planner for…

  • friends to invite
  • location
  • theme
  • activities
  • snacks and drinks

B-Inspired Mama sponsor, CLIF Kid invited us to host a play date this week.  They believe active play lays the foundation for a healthy and successful society.  Which, I completely agree with.  So when CLIF Kid challenged us to make time in our busy school week to invite some friends for a fun play date, I was on top of it.

First, we invited some friends to our house for an indoor play date on a dreary rainy day.  Most of our guests included dino-loving kiddos, so I set up our snack table with some of the kids’ toy dinosaurs and some inexpensive dino masks I found in the party section of a local store.

Oh, and some awesome snacks, too!

CLIF Kid makes nutritious snacks from organic ingredients specially-crafted for kids’ taste and active bodies – including CLIF Kid Zbars and Zfruit.

The kids loved the CLIF Kid Zbars the best.  Yummy flavors in perfect kid-sized portions.  And we mamas love that they have NO high fructose corn syrup, NO artificial flavors, and are Non-GMO.

We decided to meet again a couple days later when the weather was nicer.  And, of course, we took our CLIF Kid snacks on the road.
