A Printable Flag Game for Counting Practice!
It’s time again for another free printable from Carla of Preschool Powol Packets! This time she’s getting us ready for the 4th of July (and Flag Day which is today!) with some fun printable flag count and clip cards.
Laminate the Printable Flag Count & Clip Cards, and then let your child clip the correct number with a clothes pin. You can also let them stamp the right number or put it in a sheet protector and circle the answer with a dry-erase marker. All these options let your child strengthen fine motor skills, counting, number recognition, and tie into a patriotic or 4th of July theme! – Carla of Preschool Powol Packets
As you can see, Priscilla used patriotic red and blue plastic clothes pins to clip ours. It was great practice for her in counting and number recognition. There are 12 cards, so she got some much needed practice with those higher numbers that she’s still learning. And she got to work those fine motor skills to clip the clothes pins. Plus I got to talk with her about the American Flag and Patriotism while she worked. I think I’m going to laminate these and make a busy bag to pass on to Priscilla’s Preschool when we’re done with them. Thanks, Carla!
Have your kids ever done a counting game like this? Did they enjoy it? What would you like to see from Carla for her next printable?
