It’s time again for another free printable from Carla of Preschool Powol Packets!

This time she’s getting us ready for the 4th of July with an American Flag-Themed Printable Counting Game.

A Patriotic Printable Counting Game for Kids!

Here’s what she has to say about it…

Laminate the printable counting game cards, and then let your child clip the correct number with a clothespin.  You can also let them stamp the right number or put it in a sheet protector and circle the answer with a dry-erase marker.  All of these options allow your child to strengthen fine motor skills, practice counting and number recognition, and the game ties into a patriotic or 4th of July theme, too!

As you can see, Priscilla used patriotic red and blue plastic clothespins to clip onto her number answers.  It was great practice for her in counting and number recognition.

There are 12 printable counting game cards, so she got some much-needed practice with those higher numbers that she’s still learning, too.  And clipping the clothespins on the numbers helped her practice and strengthen her fine motor skills.

Plus, the American flag theme sparked a conversation about patriotism, Memorial Day, and the 4th of July.

I think I’m going to laminate our counting game cards and make a busy bag to pass on to Priscilla’s Preschool when we’re done with them.  Thanks, Carla!

Thanks, Carla! I found a whole packet of different colors at the Dollar Tree. I knew I needed them for something! 😉
