DIY Kids Valentine Cards
Just before Valentine’s Day Sawyer and Priscilla helped me make a Kids Valentine I Spy Heart. The kids had a blast searching for red colored toys and objects around the house. And it was excellent practice in color recognition. Here’s the super-easy steps:
How to Make an I Spy Kids Valentine:
- Grab a basket and go on a hunt for small, red (or pink) toys and objects.
- Lay objects out in a heart shape on a large white sheet of paper.
- Standing directly over the heart, photograph it (using your macro setting if possible).
- Use a basic photo editing software (like Picnik) to crop and add wording to your Valentine.
If you aren’t up for making your own, download the FREE printable Kids Valentine I Spy Cards here. But I really recommend doing this with your preschoolers. My kids had so much fun hunting for the toys that I think we’re going to make one for every holiday! Stay tuned for St. Patrick’s Day greens…
