Are Your Kids Train Lovers?
Mine are! Sawyer has recently moved onto reptiles and dinosaurs, but he will always have a special love for trains. It's something his dad and he have shared since he was just a toddler; collecting trains, building tracks, going to train museums. But J.C. hasn't really gotten bitten by the train-bug yet. So when I learned that we'd get to try out the new Thomas & Friends™ TrackMaster™ line, I was really excited for them to play together and see what J.C. thought.
Our Thomas & Friends™ TrackMaster™ Fun
Well, let me tell you; they LOVED it! We received the makings of a perfect train play afternoon:
- Thomas & Friends™ TrackMaster™ Avalanche Escape Set
- Thomas & Friends™ TrackMaster™ Sodor Spiral Expansion Pack
- Thomas & Friends™ TrackMaster™ Sort & Switch Delivery Set
- Thomas & Friends™ TrackMaster™ Troublesome Traps Set
- Train Conductor Hats
- Thomas & Friends™ Tale of The Brave DVD
Sawyer (age 7) and I got it started, building and interchanging the huge track that took up our entire living room floor. Priscilla (age 5) and J.C. (age 2) helped a bit, but mostly waited until we had it all set up to get in on the fun. The motorized engines in these new TrackMaster™ sets have been redesigned for better speed and performance, and you could definitely tell. The kids got such a giggle watching Thomas and his friends chug along through all of the action along the tracks. There were lots of giggles especially as the trains headed over and swished down the avalanche.
While we weren't able to have any friends over this week to play, I know that this HUGE train set will be a hit at our next playdate. Or wouldn't it be fun to plan a train-themed playdate or party with these Thomas & Friends™ TrackMaster™ train sets all set up and ready to go? Well I've gathered up all of my favorite train crafts, activities, and party ideas just in case you'd like to start planning…
