Looking for some Preschool Easter activities to keep your little one busy? Look no further than those plastic Easter eggs that are littering your living room floor this time of year!  When I saw the Easter Egg Letter Puzzle idea shared right at the top of last week’s Kids Co-Op Link Party, I was inspired to find some other ways our preschoolers can learn using those pesky plastic eggs.

Use Plastic Eggs for Fun Preschool Easter Activities!

So gather up those eggs and check out these preschool Easter activities you can do with them…

11 Preschool Easter Activities using Plastic Easter Eggs:

  • Make Egg Letter Puzzles – As mentioned above, check out how Mom Inspired Life turned her plastic Easter eggs into simple letter puzzles for her preschooler.
  • Make an Uppercase & Lowercase Matching Game – If your preschooler is learning their uppercase and lowercase letters, use some alphabet stickers to turn plastic eggs into a matching game.
  • Make a Number Snake – I Can Teach My Child shares how to make a number snake out of plastic Easter eggs which allows little ones to practice lacing and counting.
  • Simple Addition with Pom Poms & Eggs – Grab some pom poms and use them along with your plastic eggs to practice simple addition with your little one!
  • Add Plastic Easter Eggs to a Sensory Bin – Toss some plastic Easter eggs into a sensory bin of dried peas, rice, or beans, and encourage your preschooler to explore scooping, pouring, and fine motor skills all while getting tactile sensory input.
  • Explore Buttons & Eggs – Make a quick sensory bin with buttons and plastic eggs to let the little ones practice fine motor skills and explore sound, too.
  • Explore Size with Nesting Eggs – Make Nesting Eggs with different sized plastic easter eggs to encourage your preschooler to explore size relationship and practice fine motor skills.
  • Use Plastic Eggs for a Sink or Float Science Experiment – Little Bins for Little Hands shares how she and her son use plastic eggs to explore the science or sinking versus floating.
  • Use Plastic Eggs for Fizzing Science Fun – Little Bins for Little Hands also shows how to incorporate plastic Easter eggs into some fizzing science fun for kids!
  • Use Plastic Eggs for Painting – Check out how Fun at Home with Kids uses plastic easter eggs to make roll painting art and how Buggy and Buddy uses plastic eggs for printed circle art!
