Fun & Easy Nugget & Tot Kabobs for Kids

Save-A-Lot invited me to do my Super Bowl party shopping at my local Save-A-Lot store, which I was happy to do since they had everything I needed in one spot and at up to 40% lower prices than conventional grocery stores.

But no need to worry about the cost of this added kids’ food to your Super Bowl party – this “recipe” only requires 4 ingredients and some everyday kitchen tools!

My ingredients for these easy Nugget and Tot Kabobs for Kids - perfect for a Super Bowl Party or a simple family dinner - at B-Inspired Mama

You’ll just need some of the classic kid-favorites: frozen chicken nuggets and frozen puff potatoes (i.e. Tater Tots)!

This is honestly too easy for “recipe steps”.

And kids love helping to slide the nuggets and tots on the bamboo skewers. In fact, big kids can do this one almost entirely on their own. (Just be careful of the sometimes-sharp points of the skewers. The points can actually be cut off with kitchen scissors after the nuggets and tots are on.)

Prep: 5 mins
Cook: 20 mins
Total Time: 25 mins
Servings: 12 kabobs

Ingredients

  • 1 32 oz. package fully cooked breaded chicken nuggets
  • 1 package frozen potato puffs ((i.e. "Tater Tots"))
  • ketchup ((for dipping))
  • mustard ((for dipping))

Tools:

  • 12 bamboo skewer (ideally kid-friendly, semi-pointed)
  • sheet baking pan
  • parchment paper
  • silicone turner (i.e., spatula)
  • kitchen scissors ((optional))

Instructions

  • Prepare the frozen nuggets and tots according to package directions. (Baking so they are crispy works best.)
  • Allow nuggets and tots to cool to the touch.
  • Slide 4 nuggets and 4 tots, rotating between nuggets and tots, onto each bamboo skewer. (Kids love to help with this but be careful of the sometimes-sharp point on the skewers. You can also use kitchen scissors to cut the point off the skewers once the nuggets and tots are on.)
  • Serve the kabobs alongside some ketchup and mustard for dipping.
