Mom Time

I don’t have to tell you all that motherhood is a demanding, exhausting, 24/7 job.  You know; you’re in the trenches!  I just want to take a minute to remind you to take some mom time once in awhile.  It’s so important to recharge and have some time for ourselves.  With three kids, I know how hard it is to carve out any long length of time for myself, though.  So I at least try to have simple little mom time “escapes” as often as I can.  Here’s some ideas for how you can “escape,” Mama…

10 Mom Time Escapes from DOLE and B-InspiredMama.com

10 Ways to Escape for Some Mom Time

  1. Read A Magazine. (And NOT a parenting one!)
  2. Call A Friend.
  3. Enjoy A Cup of Coffee.
  4. Take A Shower!
  5. Try A New Recipe.
  6. Draw or Doodle.
  7. Turn On Some Tunes.
  8. Try a Yoga Pose or Two.
  9. Get Lost Online. (Can you say “PINTEREST?!”)
  10. Enjoy a Sweet Treat.

A “Sweet Escape” with DOLE Fruit Parfaits

DOLE Pineapple Creme Fruit Parfaits for a Mom Time Escape at B-InspiredMama.com

I can get a little carried away with that last tip sometimes.  (Let’s just say I have a close relationship with chocolate…)  So I’m excited that I’ve found a lighter “sweet treat” in the new DOLE Fruit Parfaits.  They feature a creamy layer topped with natural sweet fruit and are low fat and cholesterol free; sign me up!  You can get DOLE Fruit Parfaits in three flavors: Pineapple and Cème, Apples and Crème, and Peaches and Crème.  You can find more information and connect with DOLE through their website, on Facebook,  and on Twitter.

My runs are a way of getting mom time for me. I can go at my own pace and think things through, or not, depending on the route I take.

I’m so envious. I’m not in good enough shape *yet* to be a runner.

Just remember that the escape mom activities have to be done “without” the kids in order for it to be a real escape
