How Kids Vision Care Impacts Learning

Kids Vision Care Learning and Charitable Giving with VSP at B-Inspired Mama

So I’ve gotten the school clothes shopping done, the school supplies ready, the back to school haircuts done… And the eye appointments done, too.  My kids have had glasses since they were toddlers, so they see their ophthalmologist every six months.  And one of those visits always ends up right around back to school time.  Which is perfect considering what VSP Vision Care shares about the impact of kids vision care and learning…

Having clear vision and healthy eyes helps your child see and experience life to the fullest.

Did you know that 80% of what you learn is through your eyes? And that many children with learning problems have undiagnosed vision problems? Getting your child an annual eye exam can help them learn and experience life’s moments clearly.

Eye exams are important for everyone in your family, from babies to adults, and everyone in between. Babies should get their first eye exam at six months and then annually through adulthood.

And apparently the in-school vision screenings just aren’t enough.  Kids need qualified eye doctors to perform exams.  And this year VSP is partnering with Big Brothers Big Sisters to help…

VSP Launches Click for Kids Vision Care Program with Big Brothers Big Sisters

Click for Kids Vision Care Campaign with VSP at B-Inspired Mama

When you “Click for Kids,” VSP Vision Care will donate a FREE eye exam and new glasses (if needed) to a “Little” brother or sister served by the Big Brothers Big Sisters program.  You can choose to have VSP donate to the Big Brothers Big Sisters program closest to you or select the program with the most need.  Wouldn’t this be a great activity to do WITH the kids to teach them about vision care and charitable giving at the same time?  Head over and “Click for Kids” now as this charitable program ends November 15, 2013.

The Benefits of VSP and Kids Vision Care

Ours are done 12 monthly. My princess had an undiagnosed eye problem when we adopted them but no more. Her new fab speccies are due tomorrow. My son is probably but fine but doesn’t really co-operate with the process but everyone is happy with him. Definitely an important thing.
