A Back to School Craft to Jazz Up Those School Supplies!
When I was given the challenge to create a back to school craft using Duck Tape®, I knew just what I wanted to do; make gifts for the kids for their first day of school. Here’s the simple back to school craft I came up with…
Personalized School Supply Set – A Back to School Craft with Duck Tape®
First, I headed out to buy Duck Tape at Walmart. There was a huge selection (right with the school supplies), but I decided to stick with a zebra print theme that I knew my kids would love.
While I was there, I grabbed all of the basic school supplies, too. And found two cute tin buckets (one for each of my school-aged kiddos) to put them all in.
Then I went to work using the Duck Tape® to personalize their supplies and buckets. The Duck Tape® adhesive sheets were perfect for adding a name tag to each of their buckets. I just cut it on my paper cutter and added letter stickers for their names. I cut pieces of that to cover the labels on their glue bottles, too. And I used the narrow Duck Tape® in coordinating colors to decorate their boxes of colored pencils, crayons, pencils, and even the handles on their scissors.
I love how easy the Duck Tape® made this back to school craft. And there’s so many colors and prints at a great price, too. The possibilities for personalization are endless. And I know the kids are going to love their back to school supply sets! They’ll be perfect as little homework stations at the kitchen table. You can buy Duck Tape® at Walmart for your own crafting fun. And follow Duck Tape® on Twitter (@TheDuckBrand), too.
