Is it me or are the back to school supply lists getting longer each year? Well, it could be that I have two kids heading back to school this year instead of just one.
But regardless of how many kids, the back to school shopping list is seriously long. And the thought of taking the kids shopping with me for all of those school supplies is even more intimidating!
Make Back to School Shopping Fun and Easy!
So since the kids love their grocery shopping game so much, I thought I better make a game to entertain them when we go back to school shopping, too. Here’s what I came up with…
A Kids Back to School Shopping Scavenger Hunt Printable
I thought the kids would have fun hunting for the different school supplies on this scavenger hunt printable.
Get your Kids Back to School Shopping Printable HERE:
It’s all ready to print, throw on a clipboard, give your kiddo a pencil, and go. Or you could laminate it
to make it a little sturdier and use a dry erase marker
.
And if you have more than one child, you can make the scavenger hunt a race to see who finds them all first.
Not only does this Back to School Shopping Scavenger Hunt keep the kids happy while you get their back to school shopping done, hunting for the items is also great for strengthening visual processing skills!
Don’t Forget your Kids Back to School Shopping Printable:
So how do you handle back to school shopping? Do you take the kids along? Have any tips or tricks to share?

I love this idea because you can adapt it to your kids’ skill level, and you can also swap out the shapes for some other camera scavenger hunt themes (words, colors, etc). Also, the window gallery idea is fantastic!
