Sure, I know kids need time playing outdoors. They move their bodies, commune with nature, and get their healthy dose of vitamin D.
But some days… some days are just way too hot to be outside.
Every time we hit the park when it’s super-hot outside we end up with over-heated, whiny kids and a sweaty grumpy mama with even less patience than she usually has. And she already has too little!
But you can only stay cooped up in the air-conditioned house with busy toddlers and bored kids for so long.
You need some Indoor Fun for the Kids – STAT!
It’s time to break out of that house and head to your favorite place for fun indoor activities for kids…
Head to Chuck E. Cheese’s for Inexpensive Indoor FUN!
Last week I surprised the kids with some indoor fun at Chuck E. Cheese’s after a hot day attending their charter school’s summer academy.
They’re new All You Can Play gaming experience makes it the perfect affordable place for indoor fun for kids when it’s just too hot to be outside. With All You Can Play, kids play all the kids games they want, as often as they want, during a chosen amount of time for one affordable price – as low as $9 a kid!
The price is great, but honestly, my favorite thing about All You Can Play is… no tokens!
Those darn tokens are so annoying to keep track of, aren’t they? They’d weigh down the kids’ pockets or, if they’re carried in a cup or bag, a kid will inevitably leave them at some random game.
Now, with All You Can Play, each child gets a handy Play Pass on a bracelet that activates games and tracks their play time.
They just scan their Play Pass at each game they want to play. No tokens necessary!
And they can scan their Play Pass at the Play Pass kiosk to check their remaining time, add gameplay time, or pause their play time while they eat or use the restroom. So cool, right?!

And speaking of pausing to eat… you can’t beat Chuck E. Cheese’s kid-friendly food options. My kids love the pizza!
A quick Chuck E. Cheese’s money-saving tip… Sign up for Chuck E. Cheese’s More Cheese Rewards (by downloading the mobile app via iTunes or Google Play) to earn rewards you can use on food, drinks, games, and prizes. The more you visit, the more you earn!
After taking a break for a bite, kids can get right back to their gaming by simply scanning their Play Pass on a game to activate their play time again. Easy Peasy!
It’s Indoor Fun for Kids of ALL Ages!
Aside from being affordable, there were a few other reasons I chose Chuck E. Cheese’s for our hot-day indoor play.
First, it’s fun for kids of all ages. There are games for kids preschool-aged on up. My 6-year-old J.C. finds games he loves and can be successful at, while my 11-year-old Sawyer finds games he likes and can be challenged by too.
Secondly, the kids get tons of active sensory-rich play at Chuck E. Cheese’s.
Just because it’s indoor fun for kids, doesn’t mean it’s inactive fun for kids!
My kids jumped, threw balls, hit targets, processed new sounds, honed their hand-eye coordination, and rode on moving games!
