My kids have turned into the pickiest of picky eaters ever.
I get so frustrated when I know a new recipe is something they would like, yet they won’t even try one bite.
So I decided to try offering a little incentive to get them to try new foods at dinnertime. With a fun sticker chart for picky eaters!

I created a Fun “Dinner Adventure” Sticker Chart and offered some Safari Animal Stickers to use with it.

Now every time they try a new food, they earn a sticker to add to their “Dinner Adventure” plate on their sticker chart.

Their sticker goal is written in the “cup” circle on the sticker chart.  My kids helped choose their reward: a trip to the bookstore!

My picky eater, Sawyer, with his "Dinner Adventure" Sticker Chart

So far, our sticker chart for picky eaters is working great for my picky Sawyer!  He has already earned a trip to the bookstore to play with their toy train set.

But even more importantly, he’s discovered lots of new foods that he likes!  Which I think has made him more trusting of me and the foods I offer him, too.

Priscilla is still a work in progress…

If you’d like to try it with your children, grab the printable below.  And make sure to stop back and let me know how it works for you!

I have been stumped about how to encourage my 2.5-year-old to try new things and also how to encourage him to eat things he used to like! Thanks for this great idea. I'm trying this right away!

Thank you so much for sharing this. I've used it the past two weeks and it's been a big hit (more so with my 6 year old than my 3 year old, but he's coming along). One day, the kids were so enthusiastic about earning a sticker for trying a new food that they demanded something new at breakfast. They had me scouring my pantry at 7 a.m. looking for something out of the ordinary. I found a jar of pepper jelly. My daughter didn't care for it, but my really picky son did. It's been a great adventure for the family and is challenging me in a good way to think outside the box to keep coming up with new tastes for them to try.

I figure hey, if I'm doing the same concept with Little Man's potty training, then why not with new foods?!
Thanks for the cute printable, I'm about to hang it up right now!
