An Easy and Spidery Halloween Craft!
I’ve never been very good at decorating for the holidays, so I like to enlist the help of my kids. You can bet when holidays roll around, we do all kinds of crafts and art projects that can be displayed around the house. I don’t have to worry about buying decor, and my kids LOVE seeing their handiwork on display … it’s a win-win!
With Halloween coming up, I knew we’d have to come up with some fun projects for them to work on. This cute little spider web frame Halloween craft certainly fit the bill! It looks so festive, and it’s simple enough for kids of all ages to make. I used a hot glue gun for this one, so make sure you adjust for the little ones!

Spider Web Frame Halloween Craft
Supplies:
- black picture frame
- spider web decoration
- fake spiders
- hot glue gun and hot glue sticks
- scissors
Steps:
- Spread the fake spiderweb out on a table, and lay the picture frame on top, front side down.
- Stretch the webbing a bit, and pull it around to the back of the frame.
- Glue it down and trim off the edges.
- Cut a slit in the center of the spiderweb that’s stretched across the frame, and start pulling it around the back of the frame, this time from the inside.
- Glue it down and trim off the edges.
- If you’re spiderweb was stretched too thin, feel free to add another layer!
- Glue some spiders onto the front of the frame and let it all dry.
- Add a Halloween printable, artwork, or fun picture of your kids!
Free Word Art Printables for Your Halloween Frame!
When it comes to filling the frame, you could put in a spooky drawing or craft your kids made or a picture of them in their costumes.
Printable word art is another great option, too, so I’ve put together a couple you can download for free. They are 5″ x 7″ if printed on an 8 1/2″ x 11″ piece of paper.
