Simple & Creative Kids Bath Fun!

My J.C. would spend all day in the bathtub if I let him.  He loves water, bubbles, and bath toys!  We have quite a collection of bath toys – from sharks to boats to bathing-suit clad Barbies.  But when I made him these (*super simple*) Kids Bath Shapes yesterday, they were all he was interested in playing with.  And the former art teacher in me LOVED that these foam shapes encouraged creativity, too.  Here’s how to make them…

How to Make DIY Kids Bath Shapes:

Supplies:

  • smooth foam sheets or textured foam sheets in your choice of colors
  • scissors
  • a kiddo in a bubbly bath!

Steps:

Use scissors to cut your colorful foam sheets into various basic and abstract shapes.  I used textured foam sheets to add an extra tactile sensory element.

That’s it!  Once the foam gets wet it sticks to the bath walls.  So fun!  Give the foam shapes to your kiddo to keep him busy while you suds him up and get him clean.

J.C. loved making scenes with the shapes; building houses, roads, robots.  Making his bath abstract art really got him using his vocabulary, practicing his shape and color words, and exploring his creativity, too.

While he played, I tried out our new natural EverydayHappy 2-IN-1 Shampoo & Body Wash on him.  It had a sweet light scent and washed and rinsed nicely.  And I was thrilled to see that the gentle product didn’t irritate his sensitive skin after the fact.  If you’d like to try out EverydayHappy, too, sign up for a FREE TRIAL kit of EverydayHappy baby and home products today!
