The Creative Kids Christmas Stocking

I honestly have more fun shopping for the kids Christmas stocking stuffers more than the big gifts.  Everything is so cute and little and inexpensive!  It’s easy to get carried away and end up with lots of useless chotchkies that clutter the bottom of the toy box or even worse – wind up in the trash post-holiday.  That’s one of the reasons that kids art supplies make the perfect stocking stufffer.  They inspire creativity AND are consumable.  Perfect, right?  Check out these last minute stocking stuffers I found through the searsStyle site…

Last-Minute Tips for Filling Your Creative Kids Christmas Stockings

I was able to do all of my last minute stocking stuffer shopping right online!  Because I’m a member of Sear’s Shop Your Way Rewards Program, I was able to use some reward points to get a great discount on some fun kids art supplies.  I spent way longer than I needed to on Shop Your Way site browsing others’ Collections and using the handy Gift Finder…

And I even made my own collection while I was trying to decide.  But I settled on these…

  • Sno-Paint Snow Art Kit
  • Melissa & Doug Deluxe Poster Paint Set
  • Melissa & Doug Model Sculpting Compound
  • Melissa & Doug Dinosaur Stamp Set

I know, I know; they’re too big to FIT!  But that’s another reason art supplies are such a great stocking stuffer.  They can be divided up!  You got it – I opened ’em all up and divided the art supplies between my two older kids’ stockings.  Giving each one their favorite colors or course.

I’m so excited for Christmas morning now!  And all of the creativity to follow!

My daughter got the same Melissa & Doug stamp set for Christmas–but in the girl version. Love your stocking stuffers, a creative kid would definitely be super excited over them! #client

We read about someone who puts favourite foods with their names on in their stockings they don’t have to share unless they want to. So we are going to put chocolate spread and peanut butter in as they love this combo and we tend to ration chocolate way too much for their liking. We are putting elf made play doh in and felt pens (well, of course), ours don’t like oranges or nuts with the shells still on which is a tradition in my family, so they get a chocolate orange and a bag of salted cashews each. Which they eat before breakfast in their pjs. Also a couple of highly desired planes from the movie. I like the stamps idea, I will see if I get find some in time (i.e. send husband out in the freezing cold and dark, AGAIN!!) I try really hard to get things that are wanted and will last more than 8 minutes. I love the stockings and the magic that happens when they see He Has Been!!! Merry Christmas.
