Teacher Appreciation
Teacher appreciation is important year-round. But the holidays are the perfect time to express your appreciation to your child’s teacher with a little something… like a homemade teacher gift.
This year I have 5 teachers to buy for (including aides) so I needed something affordable. When I saw these cute paint bucket style tins in Target’s dollar spot, I knew they’d be perfect to turn into a little Teacher Survival Kit.
Teacher Survival Kit
I thought about what the essentials were for me when I was teaching and found everything I needed right at the dollar store. Here’s what I filled the Teacher Survival Kit with…
- teacher stickers
- a glue stick
- hand sanitizer
- a cute little container of cleaning wipes
- a couple dry erase markers
- a couple safety pins for emergencies
- and lots of chocolate!
I used some holiday scrapbooking paper, some of the teacher stickers, and my PSA Essentials Peel & Stick Stamps to jazz up the goodies and the tin. You can learn more about PSA Essentials Peel & Stick Stamps by following PSA Essentials on Facebook.

I am HUGE into making gifts for my kids personal teachers, intervention teachers, specialty teachers, office staff, janitors, and cafeteria ladies… I saw these at Target after Christmas and they were 80% off- SCORE! I bought all they had left (40! except 1 remaining one that was broken) I am so excited to come up with something exciting to do with them for Teacher Appreciation Week!

A great gift! We did a teacher survival kit on the first day of school for my son’s 2nd grade teacher..I had a Tide to go stain pen, advil, chapstick, hard candies, a $5 gc to the teacher store, some mints and I forget what else!

The stain stick is a brilliant idea! I had 5 teachers to buy for, so I was a bit limited financially.
