Teacher Appreciation

Teacher Survival Kit for the Holidays at B-InspiredMama.comTeacher appreciation is important year-round.  But the holidays are the perfect time to express your appreciation to your child’s teacher with a little something… like a homemade teacher gift.

This year I have 5 teachers to buy for (including aides) so I needed something affordable.  When I saw these cute paint bucket style tins in Target’s dollar spot, I knew they’d be perfect to turn into a little Teacher Survival Kit.

Teacher Survival Kit for the Christmas at B-Inspired Mama

I thought about what the essentials were for me when I was teaching and found everything I needed right at the dollar store.  Here’s what I filled the Teacher Survival Kit with…

  • teacher stickers
  • a glue stick
  • hand sanitizer
  • a cute little container of cleaning wipes
  • a couple dry erase markers
  • a couple safety pins for emergencies
  • and lots of chocolate!

I used some holiday scrapbooking paper, some of the teacher stickers, and my PSA Essentials Peel & Stick Stamps to jazz up the goodies and the tin.  You can learn more about PSA Essentials Peel & Stick Stamps by following PSA Essentials on Facebook.

Are you giving teacher appreciation gifts for Christmas?  Have you ever made homemade teacher gifts?

I am HUGE into making gifts for my kids personal teachers, intervention teachers, specialty teachers, office staff, janitors, and cafeteria ladies… I saw these at Target after Christmas and they were 80% off- SCORE! I bought all they had left (40! except 1 remaining one that was broken) I am so excited to come up with something exciting to do with them for Teacher Appreciation Week!

The stain stick is a brilliant idea! I had 5 teachers to buy for, so I was a bit limited financially.

Yeah, I tried to think back at what I used a lot of when I was teaching. I hope the teachers like them. Thanks for visiting Deirdre!
