Rice Krispies® Treats Perfect for Easter & Spring!
Are you a RICE KRISPIES® Treats family? Do your kids love that sweet oooey gooey-ness and crunch of a classic Rice Krispies® Treat? I know mine do! And I love how they are so easy to make – with just three simple ingredients. But Pinterest sure has opened my eyes to all of the creative possibilities of Rice Krispies® Treats. You can mix in fun ingredients, color them with food coloring, for them into fun shapes; the creativity is endless! So when Kellogg’s invited us to make some Easter and Spring-themed Rice Krispies® Treats, we were thrilled! Here’s what we came up with…
Spring Flower Pot Rice Krispies® Treats
Ingredients:
- 6 cups Rice Krispies® Cereal
- 3 Tbsp. butter
- 10 oz package of Kraft Jet-Puffed Marshmallows
- silicone flowerpot baking cups (or a muffin tin sprayed with cooking spray)
- green and/or Easter themed sprinkles
- flower shaped lollipops
Steps:
Melt the butter in a large saucepan over low heat. (Low heat and patience is the key!) Then once the butter is melted, add the marshmallows and stir, stir, stir until they are evenly melted.
Next, add the Rice Krispies® Cereal and mix it in with the melted marshmallow until it is evenly coated.
Remove the Rice Krispies® Treat mixture from the heat and use a spoon or spatula to add it to your silicone flowerpots (or a cooking-sprayed muffin tin).
Add sprinkles to a bowl and dip the sticky-ish tops of your flowerpot Rice Krispies® Treats into the sprinkles to apply them.
Stick some flower-shaped lollipops (or any shaped lollipops!) into your little Rice Krispies® Treats Flower Pots and you’ve got yourself an adorable Easter treat, birthday party favor, or Spring party centerpiece!
