In a large mixing bowl combine oats, peanut butter, flax seed, wheat germ and honey.
Once mixture is completely combined, gently fold in chocolate chips.
Cover bowl and place in fridge for an hour.
After an hour, take out mixture and roll it into one inch balls. (Tip: Wet hands are easier for rolling the mixture into balls.) As you're rolling the balls, place them on a parchment paper-lined sheet pan.
Place the sheet pan, with the balls, in the fridge for another hour. (The finished energy bits can be eaten right away or stored in the fridge for a few days.)
