Preschool Rainbow Play

Pipe Cleaner Rainbow Play at B-InspiredMama.com

I’ve been seeing this simple pipe cleaner and colander activity on other blogs and on pinterest, but hadn’t done it with the kids yet.  When I saw these bright and colorful pipe cleaners at the dollar store the other day, I knew it would be perfect for our week focusing on rainbow play and St. Patrick’s Day.

Priscilla loved arching the pipe cleaners to create colorful rainbows across the colander.  It almost looked as if the colander was a giant cloud, too!  We left it out for the day and she went back to it many times.  This pipe cleaner rainbow play is such a great toddler or preschool activity for sensory stimulation and hand eye coordination.  Yay for fun learning!
