A Simple Summer Fruit Salad Recipe for Kids

Simple Summer Fruit Salad Recipe for Kids at B-InspiredMama.com

I’m all about cooking with my kids.  But when I do, I try to do whatever I can to make it easier… for them and for me.  I try to prepare as many ingredients ahead of time as possible, have all of our tools handy, and use prepackaged or canned goods when possible.  So when I was asked to be a “Canbassador” for the “Cans Get You Cooking” Program, I was like, “Sign me up!”  We use canned fruits and vegetables all the time as a convenient way to get more healthy ingredients in our meals and snacks.  And when we went shopping for some canned goods at WalMart, we were excited to find Del Monte No Sugar Added Very Cherry Fruit Cocktail.  Here’s a simple (3 ingredient!) Summer Fruit Salad recipe we came up with to make with it…

That’s it!  The canned fruit cocktail makes this fruit salad recipe easy enough for the kids to make and healthy, too.  This simple fruit salad recipe would make a great picnic dish or Summer afternoon snack, too.  Find our more about cooking with canned goods and more yummy recipes by following “Cans Get You Cooking” on Facebook, Pinterest, and Youtube.
