Fine Motor Skill Fun for Kids!

These cute beaded flowers are so simple to make, and a great fine motor skill activity for small hands as well.  And they’d be perfect for the littles to make for mom or grandma for Mother’s Day, don’t you think?

Fine Motor Skill Flower Beading

Supplies:

  • pipe cleaners
  • beads

Steps:

Fine Motor Skill Flower Beading Activity from The Usual Mayhem at B-InspiredMama.com

I took three pipe cleaners and cut them in half. My sidekick laced beads onto 5 of them for the petals (leave an inch at either end for twisting afterwards), and one for the stem. When they were all laced, we just twisted them together and admired the end result.

These are so cute! My boys usually don’t like to do crafts that are “girly” (despite my enthusiasm), but doing this for a mother’s day gift would be perfect.
