Wall Book Display Ideas

I think my favorite DIY in my Priscilla’s room is her wall book display baskets.  I searched high and low for just the right baskets to store her favorite bedtime books near her bed.  These colorful red ones are sturdy yet not brittle.  And they have a metal rim around the top which was perfect for screwing right into the wall.  Easy, peasy wall book display.

How did you attach these to the wall?

I was able to screw right in between the woven fibers or the basket right into the wall. The basket has a metal rim around the top, so that sits just above the screws and holds it right against that wall.

Where did you find the baskets? I absolutely LOVE this idea and would like to do this for my boys playroom.

I think I found these particular baskets at TJ Maxx. I shopped for awhile before I found just the right ones. I kept my eye out at Target and TJ Maxx.

I’m sure you could spray paint them. I love the Krylon Fusion for Plastic spray paint. It sticks to everything!

Don't get me wrong – books still scatter here, too! But at lease the kids know where to put them back when I ask. 🙂

My mom is coming to visit soon, and book storage/display is one of our big projects – book storage for functionality and book display for some family heirloom books. http://jennifischer.blogspot.com/2012/05/books-as-heirlooms-100-childrens-book.html

What a great selection of ideas – we have shelves in the kids bedrooms but I have also created book boxes for them both from old diaper boxes which I've padded then covered in fabrics. http://rainydaymum.co.uk/book-storage-part-1 this is the frog one for my son – my daughters is russian dolls

Thanks awesome, Cerys! I've seen diaper boxes covered in fabric, but I love how yours is padded, too.
