This post brought to you by Michelina’s. All opinions are 100% mine.

Serve the Kids a Fun Lunch of Circles!

(CAUTION: Be VERY cautious of choking hazards of circular food with your kids.  I recommend presenting the circle meal to your younger ones and then cutting their circles in half!)

There’s nothing my kids love more than playing with their food.  And there’s nothing this mama loves more than when they learn from their food while they’re at it (like with these Number Mini Pancakes and this Waffle Mandala Fun Kids Snack).  So when Michelina’s challenged us to go ahead and “play” with their frozen dinner entrees to make a fun lunch, we were like… um… YES!  Here’s what I came up with to make our fun lunch a learning experience, too…

A Fun Lunch Full of Circles

I was inspired by the fun wagon wheel circle pasta of Michelina’s Wheels & Cheese Entree.  So I decided to jazz it up (and add in some more healthy elements) with other fun circle food for the kids.  I added some hot dogs for protein, carrots and peas, and bananas, too.

My 4 and 6 year old kids loved the circles.  And ate it all!  Even my toddler loved his fun lunch of circles (minus the choking hazard hot dogs, though, and with the tough carrots cut in half).

Learning with food is fun, especially since cleaning up it the goal of the learning activity. Thank you for linking up this week to the Thoughtful Spot Weekly Blog Hop 🙂
