Add 3 cups apple juice to saucepan and heat over medium heat until just boiling.
Remove saucepan from heat. Add 6 black tea bags, then cover and allow to sit for 5 minutes.
After 5 minutes, carefully remove tea bags, squeezing them over the saucepan before discarding.
Add 1/4 cup brown sugar to saucepan and stir to combine.
For hot/warm tea, add to cups as is. For iced tea, allow to cool to room temperature before pouring over ice-filled cups or adding to a pitcher and refrigerating.
Cut 1 apple into wedges. Push 6-8 whole cloves into the skin-side of each apple wedge.
Cut a small slice into the middle of an apple wedge, without cutting all the way through, and slide this cut onto the edge of a cup for garnish. Repeat to add an apple wedge to each cup.
