Yes, my kids and I have a hard time getting us all at same time under one roof for holidays such as Christmas, Easter, Thanksgiving beings how they all have same mother but diffetent fathers, so as a solution…we created our own holiday and shared individual traditions in one day… St. Patricks Day was ideal since most fathers are looking to put kids off or have a sottet so they can do the traditional adult drinking games…and Green is my birthstone and favorite color…we have a st pats tree, stockings, wreath, green and gold and rainbow colored feast . Gifts we crafted or made for each other, family photo day..with irish backdrops and photo props.. we have treasure hunt rather that easter egg hunt searching for pot o gold at end of rainbow.. by following clues the leperchains leave behind.. we have best creative st pattys outfit contest. Craft corner.. and games and fun and prizes… although 3 outta four children have grown and moved out on own, the tradition still carries through…st patricks day is a return home for the holiday time at moms house…and nieghborhood kids, classmates, and now grandchildren carry on our tradition…and our lucky to be togetjet anual event in Morris family… we always trying to out do or top o the year before so welcome any and all indpirations, clues, ideas, and donated gifts to carry our family time everytime is happy time at st patty time holiday our way. Thank you.

I love this! Having a blended family, too, I totally get how hard it can be to share kids for holidays. What an awesome way to make the most of it! Thank you for sharing.

Thanks for the list of good ideas. We are so removed from so many celebrations that I wonder how to make them meaningful for my children. This list is fantastic. Thank you. (I like the Green Food Taste Tasting!)
