I’ve been a stay at home mom for nearly six years. I’ve dabbled with vintage kids resale on Etsy for most of that time. While it was nice to have the extra spending money, I did it primarily for a creative and professional outlet aside from just parenting. Every sale brought a sense of personal accomplishment independent from my role as mama.
I took a break from my vintage shop on Etsy and began to focus my creative energy on B-Inspired Mama instead. I have been thrilled (and humbled) by the amazing community that has joined me here. Now the current economy and personal situations call for some more focus on that “extra spending money” that my vintage kids resale provides. So I’m excited to announce that I’ve opened up shop again to offer fun and affordable vintage kids clothes.
B-Inspired Mama is still on Etsy, but it can be very limiting and frustrating at times. So I’m really excited to see a new alternative for online sales called ShopLocket.
ShopLocket allows you to sell ANYTHING you want (not just vintage or handmade) on your own blog, website, or Facebook wall.
The signup and listing process are really simple. And once you’ve made a listing or two, you just embed the listing on your site or share the link to your ShopLocket page to bring your products right to your audience and friends. No overcrowded marketplace to get lost in. And no upfront fees; just a 2.5% commission once an item sells.
Here’s a sweet little dress listing I created in only a few minutes. (Psst… click “BUY” and it’s all yours.)
So if you are a stay at home mom like me who needs a little extra money, give kids resale a try with ShopLocket. (Or sell some crafts or printables maybe?) If you sign up within the next two weeks, you could win one of FIVE $100 gift certificates to Michaels, too! Just enter below and leave a comment letting me know what you plan to sell with ShopLocket.

Either outgrown clothes or crafts. I love that they only take a commission when you sell, instead of charging fees upfront.

This is great! Thanks for the information! I am going to set up an account right now to use for managing my holiday pre-orders for hand made children’s clothing.

I’d sell all my old baby clothes that are just piled in bins in the back of my closet! I need to sell them but I just can’t seem to part with them quite yet hoping for another baby to come in the next year or so..
