Kids Morning Tips
Mornings can be so hairy for moms. Especially when you have kids that need to get around for school or appointments to get to. It’s always a struggle in my house to get my kids focused and ready for the day. So I thought I’d turn to the ever-awesome B-Inspired Blogger mamas for their creative kids morning tips and tricks…
6 Ways to Make Your Kids Morning Better
- Prepare the Night Before
“I know everyone uses this tip, but it’s a classic for a reason: Lay out everything the night before. That means plates, cutlery, glasses are all at the table; fruit is washed and sliced, lunches are prepared and ready to grab. This alone eliminated half the stress for us all when I worked full time and we had to be out of the house at 6:30am.” Erin of The Usual Mayhem - Have a Clear Routine
“Have a clear regular routine. My kids kids know exactly what they need to do in the morning to get ready for school – and once those things are done they know they get to play until I’m ready!” Tonya of The Crafty Mummy - Plan for Setbacks with Extra Time
“I try to remember that it’s not the end of the world if we’re a few minutes late, and it’s not worth yelling at the kids over. That being said, I make sure to pad our morning routine with extra time for unexpected tantrums or other setbacks.” Dawn of Prickly Mom - No Screens. PERIOD.
“No screens! For any of us! It’s so easy to wrapped up in something and lose sight of time passing when the TV/computer/iPhone is on.” Laura of Play Dr. Mom - Get Up Before the Kids
“I try and get up before them and do a few things I need to do. This way when they get up I do not feel so rushed to take care of them and do other things( laundry, trash, nursing the baby…) as well. I think when I am less stressed they have a better morning.” Jaime of Frogs & Snails & Puppy Dog Tails - Make Breakfast Fun!
“Things always go smoother if the kids are excited about breakfast. So I try to change it up often with fun foods or let them help make breakfast when possible.” Krissy of B-Inspired Mama
Make Kids Morning More Fun with EGGO Drizzlers
My kids are loving EGGO Drizzlers for breakfast lately. They love the crispy waffles and yummy fruit syrup, but they especially love that they get to drizzle strawberry or blueberry syrup all by themselves. They make fun pictures on their toasted waffles and then slather it all around before munching them down.
I love that EGGO Drizzlers are super easy and quick to make; all I have to do is throw them in the toaster. And I love that the kids run right to the table with excitement when they see them. Try ’em out to see if they help with your kids morning routine.

No screen time! Yikes. I rely on the TV as a distraction while I brush my sons long hair. Thanks for sharing, I’m pinning this to the Sunday Parenting Party pinterest board

Hey, we all do what works for us, Mama! The only problem with screen time before school starts at our house, is it’s hard to pull my son away from it to get him on the bus in time.
