Get the Kids in the Kitchen to Make Easter Cupcakes!
Have you had the kids in the kitchen with you lately? No time or creative energy to lately? No worries – for a limited time, Bakery Crafts will be offering cute baking kits and supplies at select Walmart stores to make baking with the kids easier this Easter! We picked up a package of these adorably hilarious “bunny behinds” icing decorations to top some Easter cupcakes. Check out how we did it…
Kids in the Kitchen – Bunny Butts Easter Cupcakes
Ingredients:
- boxed carrot cake mix
- cream cheese icing
- sweetened shredded coconut
- green food coloring
- cupcake liners
- Bakery Crafts Bunny Tails Icing Decorations
- Easter egg shaped candy or jelly beans
Steps:
Make your cupcakes according to the box’s directions and allow to cool completely. (Yes, we are totally a boxed cake mix family right now. And that’s OKAY!)
Let the littles help ice the top of the cupcakes with cream cheese icing. (This part is the most fun, afterall!)
Put some coconut in a gallon sized plastic storage bag. Add 10-20 drops of green food coloring. Close the bag. And then let the kids shake, shake, shake it and watch the coconut turn green. Add more food coloring, close, and shake again until desired color is achieved.
Sprinkle the green coconut on top of the iced cupcakes or dip the iced cupcakes into a bowl of the green coconut.
Then add a little bunny butt and a few Easter egg candies to each cupcake.
ENJOY!
