A Kid Made Mother’s Day Craft She’ll Use!
I was recently sent some fun Shape Tape™ from FrogTape® and given the challenge of using it for a fabric craft. I knew right away that it would be a handy product to help the kids make a cute Mother’s Day gift. For me – of course! Check out this Mother’s Day craft that we came up with…
Kid Painted Chevron Tea Towel for Mom
Supplies:
- FrogTape® Chevron Shape Tape™
- white flour sack tea towel
- acrylic soft fabric paint
- sponge brush
- newsprint or butcher paper for table covering
Step 1: Place two or three stripes of FrogTape® Chevron Shape Tape™ along one end of your tea towel.
Step 2: Place tea towel on paper-covered table or floor. Use more paper to cover the end of the tea towel that you do not want painted.
Step 3: Let the little ones at it! Help them use the sponge brushes to paint the tea towel. Try limiting it to just a couple colors so they don’t over mix and get muddy.
Step 4: Carefully remove the tape and hang to dry.
The FrogTape® Shape Tape™ has PaintBlock® Technology – a super-absorbent polymer which reacts with the paint and instantly gels to form a micro-barrier to seals the edges of the tape and prevent paint bleed. So it’s the perfect way to contain the little one’s brush strokes in stylish chevron pattern. Any mom will love displaying this Mother’s Day craft in her kitchen!

Thanks for the great tutorial. Did you wash your tea towels first?

Yes, it’s a good idea to wash first.
