Fun Easter Treats Made with Twinkies®!
I have a confession; I’m not so into baking with the kids lately. I know it’s great quality time for them, but we have a small, unorganized kitchen and too-busy schedules. I’m just not feeling it with the mess it inevitably makes. So when I was invited by Hostess to make an Easter treat with their classic sweet snacks, I was A-okay with that! With just a couple candy ingredients and some creativity, we transformed our Twinkies® into these cute Hatching Chicks Easter Treats – no mixing, baking, or mess required!

Hatching Chicks Easter Treats
Ingredients & Supplies:
- Hostess Twinkies®
- candy eyes
- orange taffy-like candy
- white frosting
- scissors
- white paper or cardstock
- clear tape
Steps:
Unwrap your Twinkies® and cut a small piece off of one end so it has a flat bottom to stand. Unwrap the orange candies, flatten it with your fingers, and use scissors to cut then into a triangle shape for the beaks. Use white frosting to stick the candy eyes and beaks into place on the rounded end of the Twinkies®.
About two inches up from the edge of white paper, cut a zigzag line, to make the “eggs”. Wrap cut paper around the Twinkies® and tape.
Enjoy your cute little Hatching Chick Easter Treats!
Hostess has been making yummy snacks for over 100 years; who am I to mess up my kitchen trying to outdo that?! There’s no need to bake to come up with a creative Easter treat for the kids; you can just transform one of Hostess’ classic sweets: Donettes, Cupcakes, or Twinkies®.
