Some Chocolaty Rice Krispies® Treats for Christmas!
RICE KRISPIES® Treats are always so fun to customize for each holiday season. They’re perfect for holiday get-togethers since they’re a classic treat loved by all. And they’re so easy to customize; you can mix in sprinkles, add toppings, mold them into shapes, cut them with cookies cutters. Search for Rice Krispies® Treats on Pinterest and the inspiration is endless! For our special Christmas Rice Krispies® Treats this year, I decided to make some cute Reindeer. Check ’em out…
Triple Chocolate Reindeer Rice Krispies® Treats
Ingredients:
- 6 cups Chocolate Rice Krispies® Cereal
- 3 Tbsp. butter
- 8 oz package of Chocolate Kraft Jet-Puffed Marshmallows (or any kind you’d like)
- 1 container store-bought chocolate frosting
- mini pretzels
- candy eyeballs (not in photo)
- red candy coated chocolate candies
- 8 X 11″ rectangular baking dish
- parchment paper (optional, but super helpful!)
Steps:
Melt the butter in a large saucepan over low heat. (Remember, low heat and patience is the key to awesome Rice Krispies® Treats!) Once the butter is melted, add the marshmallows and stir often until evenly melted.
Next, add the Chocolate Rice Krispies® Cereal, and mix it in until all cereal is evenly coated with melted marshmallow.
Remove the Rice Krispies® Treat mixture from the heat and use a spoon or spatula to add it to your parchment paper lined rectangular baking dish.
Use another large piece of parchment paper to press the Rice Krispies® Treat mixture evenly into the baking dish.
Wait about 15 minutes for Rice Krispies® Treats to cool and set before using the bottom parchment paper edges to remove from baking dish. Slice into approximately 2 x 4″ Rice Krispies® Treats. You should get 12 Rice Krispies® Treats.
Ice tops of Rice Krispies® Treats with chocolate frosting. Add two broken pretzels for reindeer antlers, two candy eyeballs, and a red candy for the reindeer nose.
Serve with milk as a special Christmas treat or even in place of Santa’s cookies!
