Let the Kids Help Make a Summer Snack Mix!
Nuts of all kinds are a pretty popular snack food in our home. So I was beyond thrilled when Wonderful Brands sent us an assortment of their Wonderful Pistachios, Wonderful Almonds, and Almond Accents to try. We love the convenience of the snack size bags of almonds and pistachios especially for taking on our Summer adventures. But since we had a relaxing Summer day at home today, I decided to get the kiddos involved in making a simple kids snack mix with them. Check it out…
A Simple Kids Snack Mix with Wonderful Almonds
Ingredients:
- Wonderful Almonds (Natural Raw, Roasted No Salt, and/or Roasted and Salted varieties would work)
- mini peanut butter pretzel sandwiches (or plain mini pretzels, too)
- chocolate chips
I just set the ingredients out in a divided dish, gave each kid a baggie, and let them make their very own snack mix. They loved making it, and I love that they got lots of healthy protein- and fiber-rich almonds with their chocolate chip and pretzel treat!
