A Simple Counting Game Made Fun with Easter Candy!
What could make learning more fun for kids than CANDY? And EASTER? I was inspired by Hershey’s new Cadbury Mini Eggs White Candy to create a fun – and delicious! – counting game for my little J.C. It can be hard to keep his attention while working on his preschool learning skills but incorporating this classic Easter candy sure did the trick. Check it out…
Easy Easter Candy Counting Game
Supplies:
- Hershey’s Cadbury Mini Eggs White Candy
- permanent markers or number stickers
- an egg carton
Steps:
This is the easiest learning activity you’ll ever set up! Just use a permanent marker (or number stickers) to label each egg space with a number. We used numbers 1 through 12, but I would recommend making two rows of 1 through 6 instead since more than 6 Cadbury Mini Eggs White Candy don’t really fit in an egg spot. (Oops!)
Then just set out the numbered egg carton with a bowl of Hershey’s Cadbury Mini Eggs White Candy as an open invitation for learning. Your preschooler can practice their number recognition and counting skills in a fun hands-on way by counting out the corresponding number of eggs for each space. And then have a sweet treat after their counting game is complete!
The new Hershey’s Cadbury Mini Eggs White Candy are perfect for this activity since they look and feel so much like real eggs! My kids loved their crispy candy shell and their delicious white chocolate flavor on the inside. But you could really use any of Hershey’s wide variety of new and classic Easter treats as long as they’re of similar size. Look for Hershey’s Easter offerings at a retailer near you.
