A Back to School Breakfast that’s Fun & Easy!
We’re only a few weeks away from back to school time in our home. My kids will be starting at a new charter school, and they’re a little bit nervous. So this year especially I want to make their first day extra special. Aside from the traditional first day of school photos, I plan to get them started on a positive note with a fun back to school breakfast. So when I was invited by Driscoll’s to make a #PicturePerfectPlate with some of their lovely berries, I thought it’d be a great opportunity to practice. Here’s the sweet school bus back to school breakfast I came up with…
School Bus Back to School Breakfast
- Driscoll’s Strawberries
- Driscoll’s Blueberries
- Driscoll’s Blackberries
- frozen pancakes
- banana yogurt
First, I cut one frozen pancake into a school bus shape as shown in the photo below.
Then I cut another frozen pancake into four wedges and cut one wedge into a sunshine shape for the corner of my square plate.
I used a spoon to put some yogurt accents on the school bus and sun.
I cut and placed two cross-sections of big Driscoll’s Strawberries for wheels. Then I put three round Driscoll’s Blueberries for little students on the bus. Finally, I lined up some big shiny Driscoll’s Blackberries along the bottom for a bumpy road.
