5 Funny (and Embarrassing!) Mom Stories to Make Your Laugh Today
The Case of The Mystery Poop
“My then-preschooler (potty training) walked to the bathroom and I heard him say, ‘Whose poop is this?!’ He found a small bit outside the bathroom. My toddler had been in a phase of taking off the diaper even if it was full, but we still could not know for sure who the mystery poop belonged to. I found it funny that he would wonder who ‘it’ belonged to as if we all just go where we please!” Jaimi of The Stay-At-Home-Mom Survival Guide
Daddy’s Initiation
“My son was about 9 months old when I was at work one night and daddy was home with the baby. My husband was studying and must have been really into it because he failed to notice our son, who had been crawling around on the floor took off his poop filled diaper and just kept crawling. When he looked up, there was poop and poopy handprints EVERYWHERE. The incident that we now refer to as ‘poo-pocalypse’ was daddy’s trial by fire for having to clean up messes while mommy was gone.” Carissa of Creative Green Living
Talking $%*& – Literally ”
It’s actually not my story, but I used to work in an office with cubicles so you could overhear everyone on the phone. I once overheard a co-worker tell someone on the phone that she took an important work call on her cell phone at home, while changing a poopy diaper. She dropped the phone into the poop and had no choice but to pick up the phone and continue!” Laura of Lalymom
A Story Time Flashing
“Sometimes in the rush of getting to a place on time, I forget something. We were at story time at the public library when my daughter decided to stand in the center of the group and lift up her dress…only I had forgotten to put on her diaper. After a collective gasp, I busted out laughing and a nearby mom handed me one.” Allison of The House of Hendrix
Never Going Back to THAT Pool!
“Goblin did a poop in his swim nappy and to my horror it started to leak. I managed to get him out of the pool and took him to the changing rooms at the edge. As I was getting the towels and wipes out of our locker Goblin decided to make a run for it, slipped on the wet floor and landed on his bum. His poopy nappy exploded and covered the entire corridor in poo. And because he was crying from the fall I had to pick him up covered in poo and cuddle him. This made poo drip down my legs too. Then I walk him to the showers which were not cubicles, but open ones at the edge of the pool. I showered the poo off him and me into the communal drain as horrified swimmers looked on. I then abandoned the poo corridor and found a clean changing cubicle where I could change Goblin. I eventually managed to track down a lifeguard to explain that they would need to mop up the mess I’d left. He said ‘no problem,’ then rounded the corner and saw what we’d done. I made a swift exit as his smile disappeared.” The Monko of Taming the Goblin
OMGosh! These are seriously some crazy stories. But that’s just another day in mommyland, right, mamas?! These crazy stories are such a great reminder that it’s so important to have the right diaper for you and your baby. And Pampers Swaddlers might be a good choice for you. These were my personal favorite when my babies were tiny, and I’m really excited to hear that they now come in sizes 4 and 5, too! They’re so soft – almost cloth-like – and have a great Absorb Away Liner to keep wetness and mess away from baby’s skin. My favorite part: the color-changing wetness indicator shows color change on the diaper when baby has messed which might help keep from having some of those embarrassing moments mentioned above!
So why not “give your baby the #1 choice of hospitals” (based on sales data)? And as a bonus you can get codes to earn great prizes and giveaways through the Pampers Rewards™ Program. Sounds like a win-win to me!
