A New Fun Finds Series – with Kids Spring Fun!
I’m super excited to be debuting a new weekly series here at B-Inspired Mama today: Fun Find Friday! Each Friday, I will be sharing some of my favorite “finds” for kids around a certain theme. (Psst… Share your theme suggestions in the comments below!) This week’s theme is… SPRING! There’s still snow on the ground and near zero temps here, but we are counting down to Spring and all of the warmth and newness it brings. So here are my top picks for “Kids Spring Essentials”…

14 Fun Finds for Kids Spring Play & Learning
Snow Rabbit, Spring Rabbit: A Book of Changing Seasons – This children’s book about the changing of Winter to Spring is perfect to snuggle up with inside while it’s still a bit chilly out.
A Colorful Kite – Flying kit was always something that my family did in the Spring when I was growing up. I love this Kids Flyer Butterfly that can be flown easily by a child with the (detachable) wand!
Cute Rain Gear – You can’t get through a fun, mussy Spring without some cute rain gear. I love this affordable Froggy Raincoat, Fishy Umbrella, and these little TOMS Rain Boots.
Gardening Books & Tools – Spring is the time to start planning your gardening for the year! This Gardening Lab for Kids book has 52 fun ideas for learning while you garden. Then make sure the kids have the proper gardening tools and get to work! Or… if you really want to SEE the science of what you’re growing, get one of these Root Viewer Kits indoors.
A Critter Case & Insect Toys & Books – It’s so fun to explore the insects that you see in Spring time. A Critter Case is a must-have for closely viewing those insects the kids catch while playing outside. Kids can then learn more about their catches with the Ultimate Bugopedia reference book. But if they can’t catch any alive, they can always play with these Jumbo Insect Toys.
A Weather Science Set – With the changes from snow to rain and cold to warm-er, Spring is a fun time for kids to learn about the weather. Preschoolers can analyze the temperature and measure the rain with this Sid the Science Kid Weather Kit, while older kids might want a more sophisticated Weather Station.
A Fun Sand Box – We save the sand and water table for the warmer Summer months. But we love our turtle sand box as soon as we can get outdoors in Spring!
Essential Oils – I just had throw these awesome essential oils in, because there are SO MANY uses for the kids in Spring – from soothing bug bites to easing allergy symptoms.
