A Recycled Craft for Earth Day

I hate to see all of those cool shaped recyclables go to waste, don’t you?  I mean, I’m always thinking… “That creamer container would make the perfect doll body…”  and “We’ve gotta make that milk carton into a house!”  And since Earth Day is coming up I wanted to do a recycled craft with the kids, so what better time to transform them, right?  Here’s what we did…

Simple Chalkboard Toys Recycled Craft

  1. Make sure recyclables are clean, dry, and free of labels.
  2. Paint recyclables with chalkboard paint and let dry. (I used spray paint, but you can also get brushable chalkboard paint if you prefer.)
  3. Let the kids transform them with some colorful chalk!  PLAY!
