Happy First Birthday Party
As I mentioned in yesterday’s Birthday Chex Mix post, November and December are big Birthday months for us. I shared Sawyer’s LEGO Party a few weeks ago and plan to share Priscilla’s Princess party soon. But today, I thought I’d show you the colorful party I put together for J.C.’s first Birthday.
After the other two Birthdays and the busy holiday season, I kept it pretty simple. I used a couple cheap plastic table cloths for the table and backdrop. And the Happy Birthday banners were only a $1 a piece on clearance at Target. I used some leftover Birthday wrapping paper to add some pizzazz under the (store-bought..shhh!) cakes.
Colorful First Birthday Party Favors
I didn’t have it in me to go overboard on the handmade touches, either. But I did jazz up these fun polka dot favor bags (that I also found at Target) with my PSA Essentials Oh Happy Day stamp. I just stamped on some white cardstock. Punched out the design with a circle punch. Punched out the blue paper with a slightly larger circle punch. Used adhesive to tack the white circles to the blue ones. And then folded over the top of the bags and stapled the cute Oh Happy Day tags on. First Birthday Party Picture Frame
I set up a little coloring station for the kids with markers and a white photo mat for them to decorate for J.C.’s First Birthday Picture Frame. I’m so excited that he will have this sweet picture frame as a keepsake.
Happy First Birthday, J.C.!
My little Birthday boy had such a good time at his first Birthday party. Especially with the cake! (BTW, I left him in his diaper and this cute little tie from BonBonLand on Etsy for his cake smashing fun.)

I love the “decorate the photo mat” idea! My son is turning one this Valentine’s Day.. I am totally going to borrow your idea! Thanks for sharing!
