Plastic Bottle Print Paintings

Print Painting with Recyclables

Plastic Bottle Print Painting for Earth Day at B-InspiredMama.com
Well, we couldn’t just get rid of all of those unique recyclable bottles from our play dough impressions activity.  And with Earth Day on it’s way, we’re still focusing on using our recycled materials for our art.  (Check out more Earth Day ideas here!)  So we decided to explore shapes and print painting with our plastic bottles.

I’ve seen on other blogs that water bottle print painting makes fun flower petal shapes.  So we did some of that.  But we also used different size and shaped bottles, too, to explore the shapes and prints that they would make.

It was fun to overlap our prints and nest them inside one another, too!  We stuck with a limited color palette  of red and orange to unify the finished painting.

I think we’re going to use our finished art as gift wrap, but it would look cute trimmed down and mounted as wall art, too.

Have you ever used plastic bottles for print painting?  What would you do with the finished painting if you were us?
